Stampede Karaoke Bus
Back for a good time, not a long time – the super popular Karaoke Bus is offering two days of jam packed boot stompin’ entertainment. Set to play all the best country karaoke hits, the bus is sure to get riders excited about getting to Stampede grounds and an opportunity to unleash their inner country superstar!
Saddle up and catch Route 504 starting at the North Pointe Terminal to Erlton bus loop at 9:00 a.m. on July 11 or from 8:45 a.m. on July 13.

2022
First skate at Olympic Plaza
Sunday, November 20
12 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Join us for the First Skate of the season - this Sunday, November 20th at Olympic Plaza. Come out from noon until 3 p.m. and enjoy a family fun skate on the only refrigerated outdoor ice surface in the city, right in the heart of downtown Calgary.
Calgary Transit will be on site helping skaters keep warm with free hot chocolate, as well as live entertainment featuring Transit Teddy!
Skaters taking transit can enjoy free CTrain service to and from the event between 11 a.m and 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 20th.
Olympic Plaza will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for public skating from November 20th until mid-March 2023. Skate rentals are available from the Skate Hut at the plaza.
(Please note that hockey sticks, toboggans, sleds, and strollers are not permitted on the ice, and helmets are strongly encouraged!)
Hidden Treasure on Transit
Get ready to search high and low inside CTrain station buildings and trains for one of five tiny paintings that will be hidden on Nov. 12, 2022.
Finding one is like finding gold—trust us it’s a valuable piece of art! Each winner receives:
- Four tickets to the Art Market Craft Sale (Valued at $60)
- $500 gift certificate courtesy of Art Market
- Four branded tote bags
Please note: If you find a hidden treasure, please take it with you and follow directions. Only one prize per person, per household can be claimed. First person to send in a picture of the numbered painting wins.
Art Market is an amazing art and craft show that has become the 36-year-old holiday shopping event of the year! Taking place at TELUS Convention Centre from Nov. 17 – 20, this must-see event hosts over 200 Canadian artists—get your tickets here.
Not only is Art Market supporting this special promotion for Transit customers, but they are also giving back to National accessArts Centre by matching donations provided throughout the show, up to $3,000.
The National accessArts Centre (NaAC) is Canada’s oldest and largest disability arts organization–offering in person and online programs supporting over 300 artists living with developmental and/or physical disabilities. To support the NaAC, donate here.
Back Stage Tour
Have you ever wondered what actually goes into keeping our CTrains on track? We’re giving you the opportunity for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the Oliver Bowen Maintenance Facility – where you’ll get a firsthand look at how we store, service, maintain, and dispatch our light rail vehicles. From the wheels to where they get their power from, and what happens when they’re done for the day, you’ll get to see the CTrains in a whole new way! This informative and interactive guided tour is ideal for transit enthusiasts of all ages.
Tours will run Saturday, October 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., running every 15 minutes. The tour will last approximately 60 minutes.
RSVP Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. by phoning 403-537-7903 before September 28. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today and come on tour with us!
Access to the Oliver Bowen Maintenance Facility is only available by shuttle bus from McKnight-Westwinds Station. Shuttles from the CTrain station to Oliver Bowen Maintenance Facility (OBMF) will start at 8:45 a.m. on October 1 and will run approximately every 15 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE: A small portion of the tour involves stairs and may not be accessible for all customers. Please ensure you wear flat footwear (no heels).
Trivia Transit
What’s hitting Calgary streets this August? A bus that could win you plenty of exciting prizes—if you know your pop culture trivia.
We invite you to the launch on August 17 at the Saddletowne station. Also, keep your eyes peeled on Twitter in August to find out where this bus will be in service for you to play on the way to your destination.

Karaoke Bus
We’re launching out our first-ever Karaoke Bus; a bus that’s been tricked out into a mobile platform for customers to show off their singing skills. After our launch, we’ll be putting the bus in regular service throughout the summer.
