Fish Creek Transit Service Review (TSR)
Final route changes
After an extensive review of bus service in the Fish Creek area, and customer feedback about our proposed routes, we have finalized the route changes. These changes will be introduced in two phases: the first phase will begin December 21, 2026, and the second phase will begin March 22, 2027.
To see how your route will change, please take a look at the table below. If your route isn’t listed, it will not be changed. All changes are representative of the final March 22, 2027 network. Some routes will not be fully implemented or replaced in December 21, 2026. More details about the phasing plan will be released before the December service changes. Route names and numbers are subject to potential change for final implementation.

The Transit Service Review process:
Fish Creek TSR
The Fish Creek TSR includes bus routes that serve several communities in south Calgary. Our goals for this area are to:
- Extend bus connections to destinations on either side of Fish Creek Provincial Park
- Better align the regular bus route network with high schools and other destinations
- Invest in and serve ongoing community grow
- Adjust routes in the area to align with the primary transit network (PTN), as outlined in RouteAhead
Comprehensive review of current transit service
Our first steps for this area were to review:
- How well the routes align with Route Ahead principles,
- The performance and ridership of every route,
- Current Transit coverage in the area,
- Expected community growth
- Areas with duplicate or overlapping bus service
- School catchments and School Express Route use,
- Important destinations and how well they are covered by Transit
- Feedback from operators about each route
- Feedback received from customers about each route (through 311, our call centre, our ‘contact us’ page, social media, etc.)
- Comments and concerns from area councillors
Development of proposed changes
Based on this review, we created proposed adjustments to bus routes in the area, which will provide improved overall service, connections, and flexibility for the varied needs of our customers.
Highlights of proposed changes
- Extend bus connectivity across Fish Creek to destinations on either side of the Provincial Park
- New routes 18 and 25 cross Fish Creek and connect to multiple schools
- Route 30/31 loop system to provide connectivity within the communities of Chaparral, Walden, Wolf Willow, and Legacy
- Modified routes 28 and 29 provide direct service from multiple communities to Lord Beaverbrook High School and Southcentre Mall
- New Route 507 Somerset aligns with PTN line and long-term BRT investment with ability to extend to Providence.
- Route 103 can be modified and expanded when needed
- Better connectivity to Henry Wisewood, Lord Beaverbrook, All Saints, Centennial, E.P Scarlett, and Robert Warren
- New local service along Bonaventure Drive S.E. between 90 Avenue S.E. and Southland Drive S.E.
- Service expansion in Alpine Park, Belmont, Wolf Willow, Legacy, Yorkville, and Pine Creek
Public review
In March, we shared our proposed route changes and asked the community for feedback. We held two open houses in the area and hosted an online survey for customers to let us know your thoughts.
Engagement Report
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback earlier this year on the bus route changes we proposed. Where possible, we have used your feedback to make adjustments.
Changes to our original proposed routes include:
| Route | Changes/rationale |
|---|---|
| 10 |
1. Existing Route 10 to be retained.
2. Intention to invest in frequency |
| 18 |
1. Split at Somerset Bridlewood Station into Route 12 between Heritage Station and Somerset-Bridlewood and Route 18 south of Somerset-Bridlewood.
2. Extend Route 18 farther into Legacy.
|
| 25 |
1. Connect route to Heritage Station similar to the current Route 56 instead of via 75 Avenue SW and Macleod TR to Chinook Station.
2. Straighten route in Woodbine to take more direct route through Woodbine between 130 AV SW and 24 ST SW.
3. Connect to Somerset-Bridlewood Station via north Somerset (community) instead of connecting to Shawnessy Station via Shawnessy BV.
|
| 28 |
1. Connect to Canyon Meadows Station terminal via Lake Fraser DR.
2. Merge with Lake Fraser DR service currently served by Route 44 and previously proposed to be covered by Route 35.
3. Reverse proposed loop in Deer Run and Parkland to mimic the current Route 28 along Deer Run DR
|
| 29 |
1. Keep connection to Anderson Station via the north side of Lake Bonavista DR
2. Merge with previously proposed Route 83 loop in Deer Run, Parkland, Deer Ridge, and Queensland.
3. Cover Queensland DR and Deer Ridge DR loop with Route 35 instead
|
| 30 |
1. Adjust route to serve Sunpark PZ from Sunpark DR.
2. Shorten loop in Legacy to remain more on 210 AV SE and serve more of Walden. Route 18 extended farther into Legacy similar to the current Route 167
3. Route proposal anticipates better frequency and service span in areas with current gaps (i.e. Wolf Willow). |
| 31 |
1. Shorten loop in Legacy to remain more on 210 AV SE and serve more of Walden. Route 18 extended farther into Legacy similar to the current Route 167.
2. Route proposals (initial and revised) anticipate better frequency and service span in areas with current gaps (i.e. Wolf Willow). |
| 35 |
1. Remove Lake Fraser DR extension from proposal and add to Route 28 instead.
2. Extend from Anderson Station via central Lake Bonavista and perform loop around Queensland DR and Deer Ridge DR (via Canyon Meadows DR SE link).
3. Replace Route 83 concept through Lake Bonavista DR. |
| 63 |
1. Extend Route 63 farther west into Alpine Park, with specific routing dependent on the availability of reliable, completed roads at time of implementation. The initial proposal to serve Bannister RD, and Midpark DR was changed to instead serve that corridor with Route 112 instead.
2. Split proposed route to end at Fish Creek-Lacombe Station as the current Route 63 does.
|
| 81 |
1. Split route at Chinook Station. Route 81 Highfield to serve current loop north of Chinook. 2. Existing Route 81 south of Chinook to be merged with modified Route 103 concept at Southland Station, retaining current stops and service between Chinook and Southland.
|
| 83 |
1. Route 83 concept merged with Route 29 and Route 35 in Lake Bonavista, Deer Run, and Parkland.
2. Route 28 retained at Canyon Meadows Station bus terminal and loop reversed in Deer Run to cover initial Route 83 proposal.
|
| 102 |
1. Initially proposed Route 102 split into three different routes. Route 102 Silverado will be standalone route from Somerset-Bridlewood Station with one-way loop extension into Belmont and part of Yorkville.
2. Route 107 to be extended south via Sheriff King ST and 194 AV SE and merges with Chaparral Valley leg. Route 107 also shifted to cover Millrise DR on way to Fish Creek-Lacombe Station. 3. Route 52 to be retained from Fish Creek Station to Somerset-Bridlewood Station, covering Midnapore (with deviation on Shawnessy DR SW and removal of Somerset community loop from existing Route 52).
|
| 103 |
1. Split into two routes in Woodbine with the Braeside leg of Route 103 merging with the existing south leg of Route 81. The Anderson leg of the initially proposed Route 103 reverts to existing Route 56.
2. Route 56 by default has a tighter turnaround in Woodbine, but has the potential to extend into Tsuut’ina Nation along Buffalo Run RD.
|
| 107 |
1. Route 107 proposal revised to serve Millrise DR between Shawnessy BV and Fish Creek-Lacombe Station.
2. Route 52 retained (with modification to Shawnessy DR) to continue serving Evergreen Estates and Shawnessy BV (replacing Route 25, which is shifted to Somerset-Bridlewood Station).
3. Route 107 extended south of Somerset-Bridlewood Station to Walden and Chaparral Valley via 194 AV S and Sheriff King ST SW.
|
| 112 |
1. Route proposal merged with segment of initial Route 63 proposal between Somerset-Bridlewood Station and Fish Creek-Lacome Station.
|
| 125 | No change to proposed route. |
| 507 |
1. Minor adjustment to stop locations along 162 AV SW.
