New station name, same service

City Hall / Bow Valley College

The City Hall CTrain Station has officially been renamed City Hall/Bow Valley College Station as of September 19, 2023. This change not only simplifies the commute for students and faculty, but also acknowledges the integral role Bow Valley College plays in our community.

The new name aims to create a convenient landmark for everyone navigating through Calgary, especially newcomers and visitors. It also puts a spotlight on Bow Valley College, underlining its prominence as a cornerstone of education in our city, similar to other post-secondary institutions like SAIT and University of Calgary.

For the average commuter, this means an easier and more intuitive journey. Clear signage and announcements will be in place to guide customers during this transition phase.
