A more comfortable, efficient shuttle ride is on the way

Over the next year, 160 brand-new community shuttle buses will join Calgary Transit’s fleet, replacing older models to deliver a more comfortable and cost-effective ride for Calgarians. 

These new shuttles offer passengers improved comfort with air conditioning, and smoother rides while delivering better fuel efficiency, enhanced reliability, and lower maintenance costs. 

Each new shuttle also includes a single front-mounted bike rack, available during daylight hours only, and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more at calgarytransit.com/bikes. 

The first wave of new shuttles began rolling out in May, with more arriving in the months ahead. These vehicles are replacing older models—some with over 800,000 km of use—and bring a much-needed refresh to our aging shuttle fleet.  

After introducing 20 new shuttles in 2024, this year’s rollout continues efforts to modernize our fleet and enhance the Calgary Transit rider experience.
