Warning | May 16-18: 7 Avenue Closure – Red & Blue Line service disruptions

From Saturday, May 16 to the very early hours of Tuesday, May 19, 2025, all downtown stations along 7 Avenue, as well as Victoria Park/Stampede Station and a few surrounding stations, will be closed. Shuttle buses will replace CTrain service between affected stations, including downtown. Full CTrain service will be back up and running again before start of service on Tuesday, May 19!

Hey Southland, you’re getting an upgrade!

The Southland station bus shelter is currently undergoing upgrades. Calgary Transit will be installing larger windows and better lighting to enhance visibility and brightness, which will improve our Operations Control Center’s ability to see and engage directly with customers. 

We will also be fully renovating the bus shelter, adding accessibility doors, new flooring, and repairing the concrete masonry. The concrete grade that surrounds the shelter will also be redone to keep the area free of puddles and icy spots.

Construction is set to be completed at the end of December of 2023, but until then customers can stay warm inside the LRT station while they wait for the bus. During construction, the west entrance to the LRT station may be closed at times. If this is the case, we ask you to enter through the south entrance or the level crossing. Thank you for your patience, you’re going to love the new Southland.
