Get on Board Summer Camp 2026 Opens for Registration
Starting April 9, youth aged 15–21 with disabilities can sign up for Calgary Transit’s Get on Board Travel Training Camp—a fun and skill-building experience designed to boost transit independence.
The camp delivers practical tools through engaging sessions:
- Transit safety training led by a Peace Officer
- An insider tour of the Oliver Bowen Maintenance Facility
- Hands-on lessons in trip planning and using fare systems
- Meet-and-greet with our Customer Service experts
Daily schedule: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Choose from three summer sessions:
- Session 1: July 13 & 14
- Session 2: July 27 & 28
- Session 3: August 17 & 18
Developed by Calgary Transit’s Travel Trainers, the program is designed to meet youth where they are—supporting personal growth through real-world experiences.
"Get on Board helps campers take real steps toward independence in a supportive, guided environment. It’s an empowering experience they carry with them long after summer ends,” says Clare Russell, Travel Trainer Community Liaison.
The deadline to register is June 17, 2026. For more details and to determine if this program suits your family member, please visit Liveandplay.ca.
